Sundal is a stunningly beautiful village in Norway with great nature including the nearby glacier and the beautiful valleys. The designer Andreas Engesvik named the chair to Sundal as a tribute to the village, one of his favorite places in Norway.
Skargaarden objects is about art, artisans, crafts and producing in the most environmentally friendly way with sustainable materials that are available in the vicinity of our producers.
Designed by Per Waern Jensen. The armchair is inspired from the shape of a bird’s nest, with chair legs that embrace the chair seat and back. The range has therefore been named from the nature reserve Tira islands, an island group in southern Sweden.
We like to think of ourselves as part of a tradition that's truly Scandinavian. On the other hand we're inspired by everything from early American shaker style to Bauhaus.
The Böste chair was designed with soft beaches, hard rock outcrops, grass between the toes, the edge of the pool or a spacious roof terrace in mind. An homage to the original Westport chair, in a durable, refined version in stainless steel and durable FSC-labeled teak.
There's just something about the refined, minimalist design that Laknäs represents. We always have the "less is more" mindset, every time we start exploring a new design.
It’s the same as lasting quality. Products built and designed to be around for a long time.
Nils-Ole Zib, designer
